How does scanning work?

Point your camera at any freight — labels, handwriting, tape marks, packaging, or barcodes. Scan AI sends the photo to cloud AI providers (Google and OpenAI) that read the text and identify the customer in your organization. You consent to this in the app before your first scan; see our Privacy Policy for details.

What if the scan doesn't match the right customer?

Tap the match result to open the correction sheet. Select the correct customer or create a new one. Your correction trains the learning system so future scans with similar marks match correctly.

How do I set up my organization?

After signing up, the onboarding flow guides you through creating your company, adding a terminal location, and inviting team members. You can manage these later from the Profile tab.

Can I use Scan AI without a camera?

Yes. If the camera is unavailable (or on a simulator), Scan AI falls back to your photo library. You can scan photos of freight you've already taken.

How do I invite team members?

Go to Profile → Team access. Enter an email address and select a role (Manager, Dock Worker, or Viewer). The invitee receives an email with a link to join your organization.

What are the different roles?

Where is my data stored?

Scan data and evidence photos are stored securely on Supabase (AWS). Each organization's data is isolated with row-level security policies. See our Privacy Policy for details.

How do I delete my account?

Contact us at support@scanai.me to request account deletion. We will remove your personal data and notify you when the process is complete.
