Scan AI ("we", "us", "our") operates the Scan AI mobile application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our app.
When you use Scan AI, we collect:
Your data is stored on Supabase (hosted on AWS) with row-level security policies that restrict access to your organization's data. Evidence photos are stored in Supabase Storage. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.
To identify freight, the photos you capture are sent securely to third-party cloud AI providers — Google Cloud (Gemini and the Cloud Vision API) and OpenAI — which read each image and return recognition results such as extracted text and the matched customer. Under these providers’ API and enterprise terms, your images and text are processed only to provide this service and are not used to train their models.
Scan AI asks for your explicit consent inside the app before your first scan sends any photo for cloud recognition, and you can withdraw that consent at any time under Profile → AI & data processing. If you withdraw consent, Scan AI will ask again the next time you scan.
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
Scan history and evidence photos are retained for as long as your organization account is active. You can delete your account and associated sign-in at any time from Profile → Delete Account in the app, or request deletion of your data by contacting us.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at the email below.
Scan AI is not intended for use by anyone under 17 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the effective date.
